Step 1: Review the Rules & Eligibility
The international award competition is open to young artists aged 4-25. Before starting your submission, please ensure that you have carefully reviewed all the competition rules, submission requirements, and other important details.
Step 2: Review & Research
REVIEW THE THEME & PROMPT
The London Young Artist Award theme changes every year. Be sure to review the description of the 2023 theme, Ocean Heroes in Action, before starting your piece. Submissions are judged based on how well they address the annual theme. Your submission should respond to the prompt listed in Step 3 below.

Step 5: Submit
To submit your work for the London Young Artist Award, kindly click on our submission button and complete your personal details, upload your artwork, write your reflection, and make payment. Please be aware that if you are submitting several works, you must use the same process for each submission. We do not accept submissions via email or postal service. The deadline for submission is 30th June 2023.

Step 3: Create
Uncover the individuals making a difference in ocean conservation! Research and select an inspiring hero who is dedicated to preserving our oceans and
environment. This hero can be anyone – a scientist, activist, artist, educator, or anyone else who is making a positive impact. Create a piece of art that highlights their efforts, organisations, and achievements.
Bring attention to the hero who is leaving their mark on ocean conservation and educate the community about their contributions. Celebrate their dedication and be a part of making a positive impact with the 2023 London Young Artist Awards.
Step 4: Write Your Reflection
Adding a written reflection is an essential component of the 2023 London Young Artist Award as it helps to bring your artwork to life and helps the judges understand your ideas.
Your reflection should provide insight into your creative process and what you have learned about ocean conservation through your participation in the competition. To guide your writing, consider the following questions:
